The 42MP4 adds XGA native resolution to NEC's outstanding image quality to give you the definitive tool for conveying ideas with power and clarity. The monitor's XGA resolution panel provides a sharp, crisp display of high-resolution text and graphics and its progressive scan driving method displays stable, flicker free images. Advanced AccuBlend scan conversion provides high quality scaling for non-native RGB signals and sophisticated video signal processing including motion-compensated 3D scan conversion and 3/2 pull down processing delivers smooth, true to life video. Realistic olor reproduction is ensured with NEC's patented Capsulated Color Filter Technology and further enhanced with AccuCrimson filter technology which produces the purest red color display possible in a plasma monitor.

Broad Signal and Source Compatibility

The 42MP4 lets you connect to and display signals from virtually any input source. It is compatible with standard computer graphics resolutions from VGA to UXGA as well as 848 x 480 and 1365 x 76816:9 resolution standards. The monitor is also compatible with conventional video formats including composite, S-Video and component Y/Pb/Pr. It also supports all major HDTV standards including 480p, 1080i and 720p. This is complemented by a comprehensive input panel with connections for up to 8 different sources including a 29-pin DVI digital input connector and three assignable audio inputs.

A 1200:1 contrast ratio, 1365 x 768 WideXGA resolution, Advanced AccuBlend Technology and a 3-2 pull down converter ensure the best possible brightness, contrast, color and image quality from any source. Realistic color reproduction via NEC's exclusive Capsulated Color Filter Technology is now enhanced by AccuCrimson, a filtration technology that produces the purest shade of red yet possible in a plasma display. In addition, a comprehensive input panel includes connections for up to eight different sources including three assignable audio inputs and a 29-pin DVI input.

NEC's AccuShield Phosphor Protection System, an Inverse RGB, Pixel Orbiter and Brightness Limiter modes and a Programmable Pixel Refreshment mode help alleviate the possibility of phosphor burn and prolong the life of the plasma display. The 50MP2 also includes an internal 7-Watt stereo audio amplifier, external speaker jacks and optional external speakers that can attach to the sides of the monitor.
